The american embassy
Went to the american embassy in Stockholm today to apply for my visa. Oh just let me tell you; standing outside for over one hour when its -13 celcius (freezing!) outside isn't the best way to start the day. Anyway, everything went great and I should probably get my visa in the mail before friday.

Interview with the family in Danbury
So, today I had an telephone interview with a family from Danbury, CT. I must admit; first I was kinda sceptical about them. "how fun will it be to take care of an 3 months old baby?" but after talking to the mom in the family I really like them! Tracy (the mom) was really nice and fun and it really seemed like she wanted their next au pair to feel like a family member to them. Which I must say is great! Because when you are working as an au pair, you're not only working for them; you're also living with them. So If you feel like a family member I think it will make you're job much easier and it will probably don't be as hard to live in another country, with a new family for a year. Mike (the dad) wasn't home when I spoke to Tracy so he would call me tomorrow (4pm swedish time) :) and yeah, Tracy said that my english was really good ;)
If this family wants me to be their Au Pair, I think I'm gonna say "Yes" because they really seem like a lovely family and I think I could really like it there :) It's just to bad that they didn't live in like California.. It would have been awesome to spend a year without snow ;) haha.
